about miss lizzy

My name is Elizabeth Bryant (but my family and close friends call me Lizzy). I began Miss Lizzy's Music as a way to be able to teach children the joy of not only listening to music but also the joy of making music.

I believe that music is a wonderful tool for children to learn coordination, improve their reading abilities, gain confidence and learn the joy of creating music with others.

A little bit about my qualifications:
I began taking piano and vocal instruction at six years old and grew to love making music at an early age. After high school I received a full scholarship in Arizona for vocal performance. For the next two years I dedicated my studies to music theory, aural perception, private vocal instruction and musical theatre (including a lead soprano role as Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance). After completing two years of the program I decided to venture into another passion of my life - cooking. I transferred to culinary school and obtained my AA in Culinary Arts as well as a Bachelor of Science in Music and English. I am also the proud mother of my beautiful son, William.

I hope that your children will learn and grow in this program to allow them to cultivate their musical abilities. I hope that they will gain confidence, explore their independence, try new things and above all - have fun!
